IDEM GLM Rope Pull Switch Reliable Emergency Stop Protection
The IDEM Guardian Line GLS Safety Rope Pull Switch delivers dependable emergency stop protection for machinery and conveyor systems. Operators can activate the switch from any point along the rope length. As a result, it provides faster response compared to traditional emergency stop pushbuttons.
Install the GLS on machines or conveyor sections where physical guards are not practical. Because the rope runs along hazardous areas, workers can quickly stop equipment in an emergency.
Advanced Safety Performance
When combined with a dual-channel safety monitoring relay, the GLS supports monitoring up to Category 4 (EN 954-1) or Performance Level e (ISO 13849-1). In addition, the system complies with ISO 13850 and IEC 60947-5-5 standards.
The switch features positive mechanical linkage between the contacts and the rope. Therefore, it triggers the safety contacts immediately when someone pulls the rope or if the rope breaks. Once activated, the mechanism latches instantly and keeps the system in a safe state until the operator presses the blue reset button.
Robust Industrial Construction
The GLS includes a durable yellow diecast housing with IP67 protection. Moreover, integral sealing bellows allow high-pressure hose cleaning. Stainless steel internal screws further enhance corrosion resistance.
The design supports easy wiring through three M20 conduit entries. Additionally, users can choose 4-pole contact configurations: 3NC/1NO, 2NC/2NO, or 4NC.
Wide Coverage & Flexible Options
A single switch can protect up to 60 meters. However, two switches can extend protection up to 80 meters. Certain models include an emergency stop button, while others offer both E-stop and LED indication.
